Peer review

Submissions to the journal will undergo a double-anonymous peer review process. This normally involves feedback by at least two independent experts in the subject area. 

Aberdeen University Press is an open access publisher and all of our publications are free to read and published under Creative Commons licences. 
While copyright is retained by the authors, third parties have the right to use, reproduce, and share the article according to the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license agreement. 

 

COPE/Professional memberships

The journal and its editors follow guidelines from the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE). This commits the title to high standards of editorial, author and review practices, as well as publication ethics. 

Indexing and Archiving

Aberdeen University Press content is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), a permanent point of access allowing citations to be tracked and measured. Content will be disseminated to established indexers and databases. Journals will be registered with CLOCKSS to ensure that published content is preserved.
